The local music venue, formally known as Eleanor Rigby’s, Route 6, Mayfield, announced December 2 that they will now be under new management and will change their name to Three Kings. Eleanor Rigby’s, known for their concerts and support of the hardcore music scene, told the public of the venue’s decision through a Facebook post on their fan page.
The post told the public that financial and personal troubles led to the final decision in acquiring new owners. The new owners also explained that music shows of the same type will still be hosted at the new venue, just not as many. The venue hopes to host two to four national- level concerts each month, while continuing to provide an opportunity for local musicians once or twice a month. Aside from the music scene, the new venue will add a restaurant into the mix and have a New York style pizza and wing service open seven days a week. Three Kings hopes to provide a friendly atmosphere where people of all ages can enjoy a meal during the week and catch a show on the weekend.
“I will bring hometown entertainment and a relaxing spot to the area,” said Zach Neil, the new owner. “It will be a place where people can enjoy what we hope to be the area’s best pizza and wings, a great bar catering to the young and old, and of course the best real entertainment around. We will have national-level and local concerts, boxing and ultimate fighting events, comedians, cover bands, duos and trios, and huge sporting event parties.”
Three Kings hopes to provide a location where families and young adults feel welcome to enjoy themselves. Renovations to the place include a new bar, booths and tables, and also television sets where sports programs could be watched by fans throughout the seasons. College students will be interested to know that Three Kings will be offering delivery until 2 a.m.
Three Kings hopes for the support of the community and are aiming to launch their website by February 1 to spread the word of their new business.
