The Music Therapy Club hosted their annual Mr. Marywood event Tuesday night. The night was full of laughs, lip syncing, and talent. Each of the contestants showed off their lip syncing and fashion skills. The contestants were Gavin Daye, Rowan Flannery, MJ Haynes, Todd Snyder, Maurice Nicholas, and Ray Sabatini. The event also had a special guest to host as MC, Nevaeh DeDa. The night started off with a lip sync battle between each of the contestants, then a talent show, obstacle course, and lip sync performance by Neveah DeDa. Along with the performances, the Music Therapy Club hosted a basket raffle which helped fundraise towards Sophie’s Place by the Forever Young Program. President Elect, Kirsten Melton, shared that, “ the program helps get music therapy services within hospitals out to children that are battling with cancer”. Before the winner of the night is announced, there is a fashion runway for each contestant. The winner for this year’s Mr. Marywood was Gavin Daye, with Rowan Flannery as runner up and MJ Haynes in third place. Neveah DeDa added that, “all around this was one of the best school pageants I’ve ever seen”.
