Marywood’s chapter of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) held a charity concert earlier tonight in benefit of Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic’s Youth Outreach programs. Participants could donate $2 to participate in karaoke and songs ranged from John Denver’s West Virginia to the Wii store song. Midway through the concert a variety of prizes were also raffled off with proceeds going to the charity. Students and professors alike were head banging along to the headline act Peach Polaroid, which features multiple Marywood students. The band also surprised the crowd by announcing that they were releasing a new song tonight at midnight, leading up to the release of their album this summer.
