On Friday, Nov. 11, Sister Anne Munley, IHM, was awarded the 2011 Woman of Excellence SAGE Award at the Mellow Theater at Lackawanna College. According to the Scranton Chamber of Commerce website, the annual Scranton Awards for Growth and Excellence, or SAGE Awards, “celebrate the efforts of Chamber members and business community and their talent, creativity and innovation in a challenging business environment.” The awards are presented to deserving business and community leaders.
The Woman of Excellence award “honors a woman whose extraordinary character, conduct, service, leadership and achievements, personally and professionally, contribute to the current and future development of the greater Scranton community.”
