Sr. Anne Munley, I.H.M., Ph.D, President of Marywood University, has announced that she will be retiring from her post on June 30 of this year.

This announcement was made in a letter to students written by Sr. Anne. The letter was sent to students in an email on Jan. 4 by Ann Boland-Chase, vice president for enrollment services and student success.

In the letter, Sr. Anne stated that it was not an easy decision to make.

“While there is never a good time to leave a community like Marywood that I have known and loved all my life, I will complete my presidency next summer knowing that, together, we have launched this great institution into its second century with renewed commitment to our mission and our IHM heritage, with countless remarkable accomplishments, with great courage in the face of challenges, and with an abiding love and respect for you, our students, and with great hope for the realization of your dreams,” Sr. Anne said in her email.
