“Our entire agenda on Friday is to discuss the deplorable decision of this blundering administration to terminate the contracts of 10 first-year faculty,” said Dr. Craig Johnson, Faculty Senate president and professor of mathematics.

According to Johnson, the terminations are a violation of the faculty handbook, American Association of University Professors (AAUP) standards and Marywood core values.

“We will be expending every effort to take action to reverse this decision,” concluded Johnson. “Other options have long existed to address Marywood’s situation that would not affect the lives of both faculty and students in such an inexcusable fashion.”
