NEWS BRIEF: US News & World Report ranks Marywood 18th in region for “Best Value Schools”

U.S. News and World Report ranked Marywood University 18th out of 42 schools for “Best Value Schools, Regional Universities (North).”

According to the website, the ranking is calculated by looking at “a school’s academic quality, as indicated by its 2017 U.S. News Best Colleges ranking, and the 2015-2016 net cost of attendance for a student who received the average level of need-based financial aid.”

Local institutions, including The University of Scranton, Misericordia University, King’s College and Wilkes University also were named best value schools with rankings of 22nd, 25th, 30th and 34th, respectively.

Marywood was also ranked 51st out of a list of 195 schools for Regional Universities North and 29th out of a list of 54 schools in the region for “Best Colleges for Veterans.”
