The positions of Vice President of Business Affairs and Provost have been filled.

Marywood’s Board of Trustees appointed Dr. Susan Turell as Provost and Tammy McHale, CPA, as Vice President for Business Affairs.

Sr. Mary Persico, IHM, Ed.D., announced the filled positions in a memo to the Marywood community on Oct. 31.

Turrell will officially begin her new position on Jan. 1, 2017, while McHale will begin on Dec. 1, 2016.

Lisa Lori, chair of the Board of Trustees, confirmed that Turell and McHale have been named to these positions.

“We are very excited,” said Lori. “We think this is going to be a great team.”

Sr. Mary thanked the Marywood community for providing input on all of the candidates that visited Marywood during October.

According to the memo, Turell has a Ph. D. in Counseling Psychology, has American Psychological Association (APA) full accreditation, is a founding Dean of the School of Social Science and Interim Dean of the School of Arts and Humanities at SUNY Oneonta.

Sr. Mary said in the memo McHale recently led an allocation of academic resources at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She oversaw a budget of $300 million and worked on policy development, financial analysis and information technology systems.
