NEWS BRIEF: Faculty member receives Outstanding Dietetics Educator Award

Erin O’Hora, DHSc, RDN, LDN, was selected as the recipient of the 2016 Pennsylvania Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (PAND) Outstanding Dietetic Educator Award in the graduate category.
According to PAND’s website, the organization advocates for the dietetics profession and serves the public with the promotion of health, nutrition and well-being. There are 3,700 members within the organization in Pennsylvania.
The Outstanding Dietetic Educator award “recognizes the excellence of educators in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics accredited and approved dietetic education programs,” according tothe website.
O’Hora’s research focuses on weight gain, specifically early adulthood obesity prevention. She has worked in clinical and corporate areas relating to nutrition and has worked as an adjunct faculty member at Marywood.
O’Hora will receive this award at the Annual Meeting and Exhibition of PAND at the end of April.
