The armed student arrested on campus earlier this month has been released from Lackawanna County Prison on bail.

Police arrested Alex Barowski on Oct. 4 and Barowski now faces charges of simple assault, reckless endangerment, making terroristic threats and possessing unlawful body armor, according to his public court summary.

Barowski was released from Lackawanna County Prison on Friday after posting bail. The bail was originally set at $500,000, but a judge decreased it to $50,000, according to his public criminal docket.

Barowski’s preliminary hearing has been postponed again by his attorney for evaluation, according to an employee of the Central Court.
The preliminary hearing is now scheduled for Dec. 18 at 11:30 a.m. in the Lackawanna County Courthouse.
