The stolen vehicle crashed into this home on North Washington Avenue near the McGowan Center.

A man who stole a car in Taylor hit several vehicles while fleeing from police before crashing into the front yard of a home near Marywood’s campus.

The home at 2415 N. Washington Avenue did not sustain any structural damage besides tire tread marks in the front yard, and damaged landscaping near the front porch. By 12:27 p.m., a tow truck was on scene to remove the vehicle from the property.

“None of the parties involved were Marywood students,” said Chief of Campus Security Mike Pasqualicchio.

According to Pasqualicchio, a car parked on University Avenue was struck by the fleeing driver during the chase. Campus Safety was not involved in investigating the incident aside from filing a report on the parked vehicle.

The Dunmore Police Department handled the incident off campus, with assistance from the Scranton Police Department.

At the time of publication, the investigating officers from the Dunmore Police Department were unavailable for comment.
