A water main break occurred on North Washington Avenue near campus this morning.
According to a statement emailed to residents by Residence Director, Erin Bankert, many residents in the Woodlands Apartments did not have running water.
The water supply in apartments 1-24 was affected by the water main break.
A sign posted on the doors of the McGowan Center indicated that the building’s water supply was also affected.
According to Fox 56, the break was 6 inches in length.
Another statement from Bankert sent to students at 5:20 p.m. stated that some Woodlands residents reported that their water supply had been restored.
North Washington Avenue was closed from Morrel Street and Fisk Street, but has since reopened.
No information on the incident was available on Pennsylvania American Water’s website.
