After a close battle with Democratic incumbent Senator Bob Casey and Republican candidate Dave McCormick, the Associated Press has declared McCormick the winner of the Pennsylvania Senate seat.
According to AP, this is McCormick’s second time running for senate and now with an endorsement from President-elect Donald Trump.
Votes are still being counted; however, McCormick leads Casey by half a percent. Casey, of Scranton, has not conceded and at least 100,000 votes are uncounted.
According to his campaign, McCormick, of Pittsburgh, is focused on inflation, the economy and restructuring the education system.
