Marywood University ended its partnership with the Center for City Living, the school announced.
The Center for City Living promotes innovative styles of community engagement and urban design for students in the School of Architecture.
In collaboration with Marywood University, the Center for Urban Studies was developed on campus as a resource for architecture students. The Center for Urban Studies housed customized classes and real-world experiences for students that allowed them to learn more about urban environments, challenges, and design.
Due to the end of this partnership, Professor Maria MacDonald will be taking over as the director of civic and community engagement to help bridge the gap that has been created from the end of the partnership, according to a campus memo sent by Marywood President Lisa Lori in February. .
Connor Kelley O’Brien, previously on staff at the Center for City Living, will be joining the university part-time to help develop projects and write grants.
