SPORTS BRIEF: Cabrini snaps Marywood volleyball’s four-match winning streak

The Marywood University volleyball team could not keep a four-match winning streak alive when the team hosted Cabrini College on Tuesday, Oct. 4.

The Cavaliers continued to roll in the Colonial States Athletic Conference by sweeping the Pacers 25-16, 25-16, and 25-22 for the program’s 41st consecutive conference win, according to cabriniathletics.com.

Cabrini tallied a .299 attack percentage compared to the Pacers considerably lower .097, according to marywoodpacers.com.

Cabrini’s Emily Stokarski led the Cavaliers with a whopping 32 assists on the day. Stokarski alone out-assisted the entire Pacers’ team 32-26 on the afternoon.

A few highlights for Marywood were junior setter Danielle DeIulio with 20 assists and sophomore Mallorie Deschaine finishing with eight kills and a team-high of nine digs.

Marywood travels to Baltimore, Maryland for the Goucher Tri-Match starting with a match against Hood College tomorrow afternoon at 2 p.m.
