SPORTS BRIEF: Women’s soccer extends CSAC winning streak to six games

The Marywood women’s soccer team just keeps winning, stretching its Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) winning streak to six games last Saturday.
With three different Pacer players scoring goals, Marywood shut out Notre Dame of Maryland University 3-0.
According to marywoodpacers.com, sophomore midfielder/forward Julie Youngman headed in a pass from fellow sophomore defender McKenzie Dailey in the 33rd minute.
The rest of the first half was scoreless.
Almost two minutes after the break, the sophomore-forward duo of Ashley Kruchinsky and Megan Swiecicki put the Pacers in a commanding position.
Swiecicki sent the ball in from the right side and Kruchinsky finished the job with an 18-yard strike for her fourth goal of the season.
Junior forward Brianna Untener capped off the scoring with another 18-yard shot off an assist from sophomore defender/forward Sam Lindquist in the 64th minute.
Marywood outshot the Gators 28-6 on the afternoon to improve to a 6-4-1 record on the season with a stellar 6-0 record in the CSAC. Notre Dame drops to 2-8 (1-5, CSAC).
The Pacers travel to Keystone College for another conference matchup tomorrow at 7 p.m.
