Mens’ Golf: On Monday, the Marywood men’s golf team traveled to Moravian University and tied for 10th place out of 12 teams, with 357 points for a 73 over par. The next day the Pacers traveled to King’s College and won with a score of 365-399. In that same match, Misericordia beat the Pacers with a score of 365-343. Ben Galko led the team shooting for 81, and went 10 over par.
Men’s Soccer: The Marywood men’s soccer team traveled to the University of Scranton on Tuesday, losing to the Royals with a score of 3-0. The Pacers had a total of four saves and 10 shots. Jayce Wilson, had two of those shots along with Kyle Falcon, Owen Clearwaters, and Alex Visha. And on Saturday the 21st, the pacers put up a good fight against Arcadia University, but could not pull through for the win with a score of 2-1.
Women’s Soccer: On Wednesday, the Pacers played SUNY Canton University, securing the win 3-2. Josephine Sorce scored the first goal of the game, assisted by Riley Mulherin at 19 seconds. This just showed the theme of the game. The Pacers returned to action Saturday, taking home a 2-0 win over Alvernia University on the road. The two scorers in the game were Maura Kirkpatrick, and Caroline Walters.
Men’s Tennis: On Saturday, the men’s tennis team took on Muhlenberg College at home. The Pacers put up a good fight but could not secure the win. Fred Kloss and Jack Biggs lost by a 6-2, 6-0 decision. The Pacers play next at the University of Scranton on Tuesday.
Women’s Tennis: The Pacers had their first loss against Bryn Mawr in a 7-0 setback. Kylie Kilgore lost in a singles match, after winning the first set 6-3. Meilei Cianfrocco and Abigail Mach lost in a doubles match with a 6-2 score.
Volleyball: On Wednesday, the Pacers played SUNY Delhi, and won 3-2. Casey Hagerstrom broke the Marywood record of the amount of kills in a game (26). The Pacers came back from two sets down to beat the Broncos in five. Following the win, the Pacers traveled to Oneonta College, to face Oneonta and Hartwick College to play in a tri-match on Saturday. Although the team lost the first set 25-18, the team had a total of 15 kills and 107 attempts in total for the match. Peyton Fischer came back to the line up with a total of 18 digs. Set 2 didn’t look so different with a score of 25-15. Libby Smith had a total of six kills, and Autumn Savitski had two kills and an ace. Set 3 ended with a score of 25-10, as the Pacers were swept.
Field Hockey: The Pacers traveled to Western Connecticut State, put on a fight and brought home the win. Marywood has a season high of 28 shots on target. Cydney Lahr had a total of two goals along with Lany Straub. The final score of the match was 4-1.
