Women’s Soccer
On Wednesday, Oct. 16, the Pacers played at Centenary University. The Pacers held the Cyclones to a scoreless game winning 8-0. Josephine Sorce scored two goals, earning herself a spot in the 100-point club, just a week after teammate Riley Mulherin. Maura Kirkpatrick had back-to-back goals in the 25th and 30th minute. Mulherin connected with Sorce, who netted the goal for her 102nd point in the 63rd minute. On Saturday, Oct. 19, the Pacers had a rematch of last year’s Atlantic East Conference women’s soccer championship and ended in a 0-0 draw against Marymount University. Marywood earns its fifth consecutive shutout. The Pacers’ defense has held opponents scoreless through 491 minutes. Genevieve Morrison made two saves for the Pacers.
Men’s Soccer
On Wednesday, Oct. 16, Marywood University’s Jayce Wilson scored in the 90th minute to lead the Pacers to a 2-2 draw against Centenary University in the Atlantic East Conference. Jack Forbes had a career-high two assists. Nick Leibkcher had a great game having six saves against the Cyclones. Sophomore Ryan Surowiec had his first career goal in the 39th minute. On Saturday, Oct. 19, Marywood played against Marymount University. Marywood was quick to respond, as Nolan Kozera converted on a penalty kick in the 16th minute, beating the keeper and knotting the match at 1-1. Marywood fell to Marymount with a score 3-2.
Women’s Field Hockey
On Tuesday, Oct. 15, field hockey hosted Neumann University. The Pacers dominated the Knights with a 6-0 win. Maria Tomada scored 5 minutes into the game, assisted by Lany Straub. In the 13th minute, Tomada struck again,this time assisted by Dariane Jones off the penalty corner. Marywood had a total of 32 shots in the match, 21 which were on goal. Neumann was able to record four total shots and one on target.

Women’s Volleyball
On Wednesday, Oct. 16, Marywood opened its Atlantic East Conference game with a 3-0 win against Immaculata University. Marywood and Marymount University are the two undefeated teams in the Atlantic East. Marywood won by sets of 25-18, 25-18, 25-21. Casey Hagerstrom led the Pacers with 12 1/2 points. Marywood had a season-high 14 aces for the match. Emilie Agnoli matched Hagerstrom with four aces. The Pacers look to continue their momentum Saturday in a tri-match at Neumann University. The Pacers will take on the Knights and John Jay College.
Men’s Golf
To end last week, the Pacers finished third place overall at the Bondi Memorial Invitational this weekend at Glenmaura National. Kean University finished in first place with a +79. Mount St. Mary’s (N.Y.) was second with a +93. Marywood totaled +152, with Zack Valeski leading the way for Marywood (+32), followed by Baden Hancock (+33) Luke Landis (+45), Ben Galko (+46), and Soren Svanson (+76).
Swimming and Diving
Marywood University Women’s Swimming and Diving opened its season with a sweep over Wilkes University (154-58) and King’s College (177-30) on Saturday The men’s team lost to the Colonels and Monarchs. Emerson Gellert prevailed in the 200 free with a 2:14.33 finish. Patrick Marbaker took first place in the 1-meter diving.
