Softball
Marywood softball went 1-3 this week, splitting with King’s College in a 17-0 loss before a 16-4 win, before having two late collapses against Marymount 8-7 and 8-6. The sixth inning in both games versus Marymount were the back breaker, with four runs issued in game one and seven in game two, after great starts to each game. Junior Tori Para collected hits in three of the four games, with four in the win, before two in each of the Marymount losses.
Baseball
The Pacers baseball team took home two losses Friday after a double header with Marymount University. The offense had woes, combining for just three runs in two games, losing 5-1 and 5-2. Both starters struggled in their outings, with Danny Tiedemann issuing five runs in as many innings, before Max Ryan struggled with his command, issuing five walks in 2.2 innings.
Men’s Lacrosse
Marywood University lost a close game with Marymount University in a 9-8 loss Saturday. This game opened up the Atlantic East Conference men’s lacrosse slate. The Pacers fall to 6-7 overall. Ben Meighan carried the Pacers with three goals and an assist for four points. Ricky Strobel found an open net twice, and Sean Bonhag had two assists.
Women’s Lacrosse
Marywood started with Marymount, losing in overtime. Kaitlyn Smith scored one of her four goals in the final minute of the fourth period, to force overtime. However, Marywood couldn’t capitalize, as the Saints would score, giving Marywood its first Atlantic East Conference loss.
The Pacers are now 6-6 this season.
