A common complaint about Marywood is its Wi-Fi. The Marywood Wi-Fi is extremely slow and depending on where you are on campus, you might not be able to get any reception.
One time I was on campus during my online class. I thought I’d be able to update my Microsoft account while I had my computer open. That was a mistake.
When I tried to update Microsoft it said it would take seven hours. I was panicking by this point because I rely on it to do most if not all of my assignments.Fortunately when I got home, my Microsoft update was quick.
So, try to take care of updates as soon as possible if you live on campus.
Registration is also an extremely common issue with Wi-Fi. A lot of students are on at the same time during their designated sign-up spot, leading the site to experience crashing.
This is especially stressful with slow Wi-Fi because everyone is worried about whether or not they will be enrolled in their required classes.
Projects and other assignments can also be a pain for students if they are relying on the school’s Wi-Fi because as previously mentioned we don’t always have a wifi signal on campus.
If there is no signal and the work requires internet use or even a simple print job that student is in trouble.
Students shouldn’t have to worry about issues such as essential computer updates, registration for courses or class assignments. Marywood needs to improve its Wi-Fi to help get rid of these student stresses.
